Via Cristoforo Colombo, 45 - Napoli

A masterpiece of modern architecture and design overlooking the harbour, Romeo is Naples' first five star luxury hotel and the first design hotel that has been opened in the heart of the city.

The art of luxury

A spectacular explosion of light, Romeo Hotel's steel and glass facade has been designed by Kenzo Tange & Associates, the leading Japanese architectural firm, responsible for the restructuring of Naples' old Palazzo Lauro.

Romeo houses an impressive collection of contemporary art, including works realized especially for the hotel by Francesco Clemente, Lello Esposito, and Sergio Fermariello

Public and private pleasures

In the hotel's public areas, Hermès' chairs alternate with the armchairs designed by Philppe Starck and Antonio Citterio's B&B furniture and rare antique items dating from the 14th to 18th century.
Romeo Hotel offers 83 luxurious guest rooms, including 24 wonderfully spacious suites overlooking the sea and Mount Vesuvius.

Sushi and spa

Artistic and exuberant, a perfect combination of rigor and modernity, the Romeo hotel's Lobby is a large and refined lounge with sofas and armchairs of design, fireplace, prestigious art collections, Cigar Room, Library, il Salotto dei Giochi, the new game room with pool table and vintage Juke Box, and finally the well-known Sushi Bar & Restaurant.

The ultimate and urban SPA Dogana del Sale, located at the basement of the hotel, offers a wide range of massages and personalized face and body treatments.

Life on the top

Romeo's "Il Comandante" restaurant located on the rooftop of the hotel, enjoys stunning views over the Bay of Naples and the island of Capri. It welcomes guests in an elegant and refined atmosphere and offers a cuisine that takes its inspiration from the territory and interprets the rich culinary tradition in a contemporary way.

With a panoramic terrace and pool, the ninth floor of the hotel provides the perfect location for the most exclusive gala dinners, special events and elegant weddings.

Overall disappointment – too expensive for the quality offered. 7-day stay Hotel with austere decor, featuring a cold atmosphere and a very dark Asian style that did not appeal to us. A very strong smell/fragrance in the hallways, quite disturbing. The value for money is not there: the establishment is far too expensive for what it is. No buffet for breakfast, only a very limited menu, which is disappointing for a hotel of this category and at this price point. The pool, bar, and terrace overlook the industrial port, which detracts significantly from the expected charm. Regarding the room, several disappointments: defective shower and plastic bathroom sink, not of good quality for this price level. We were also surprised by some charges: a bottle of sparkling wine and two small cakes presented as gifts were ultimately charged to us. Be vigilant when paying the tourist tax: a 10% service charge was added to us. In the end, an experience that does not meet our expectations, far from the standard anticipated given the price.

Romeo Napoli offers tasty, well-prepared Italian dishes in a lively setting. The pasta and pizzas are especially good, with fresh ingredients and rich flavors.

Modern Luxury Hotel with great service and excellent restaurant. It was our first time in Naples and this hotel made us feel very comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The Spa facilities was very complete and the treatments we received were excellent! We highly recommend their Michelin restaurant with nice views of Mount Versuvio for dinner and breakfast.

If you are looking for professionalism, look elsewhere!

As an organizer of a major group from abroad, guests at this hotel, I expected a level of professionalism appropriate to a 5-star. Unfortunately, the reality was quite different. We were greeted by the Management with a rare rudeness: our transports were removed in a bad way, as if our presence were a disturbance. Drivers, busy doing their jobs, were constantly humiliated, moved constantly and threatened. It was demeaning to see so much rudeness, mischief and selfishness on the part of those who should be running the hospitality. We were deeply disappointed: for the bad service offered. If you are looking for professionalism, look elsewhere: this experience is barely worth 2 stars.

Map

Romeo Hotel is situated in the heart of Naples, in front of the cruise terminal and harbour where ferries depart for the '''Gulf of Naples and its islandsììì.

In walking distance from the hotel you can find some of Naples' most interesting sites, such as the Castelnuovo (also known as the Maschio Angioino), Piazza del Plebiscito, the Galleria Umberto I, the San Carlo Theatre, the Santa Chiara Monastery and the picturesque alleyways of the historic center.
Thanks to the central position close to the harbour, the Romeo hotel is the ideal starting basis from where to set off on a guided tour of the city or trips to the nearby archaeological site of Pompei, Mount Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast, and the enchanting islands of the bay of Naples.
