The hydrofoil departs from Sorrento Port - Marina Piccola, at Piazza Marina d'Italia. It's about a 15-minute walk from Sorrento's town center, heading downhill toward the sea. Arrive at the ticket office at least 20 minutes before the 9:30 AM departure with your voucher printed or on your smartphone. Alternatively, you can reach the port by taxi or local bus from Sorrento train station.
What happens in bad weather for the hydrofoil tour?
The tour may be canceled if weather conditions prevent safe sailing. NLG decides based on sea conditions and forecasts. If the company cancels the service, you receive a full refund. You can also cancel free of charge up to 2 days before your booked date.
How does the non-refundable rate work?
The non-refundable rate requires full payment at the time of booking and includes a 20% discount compared to the standard rate. Once confirmed, the reservation cannot be changed, canceled, or refunded for personal reasons. This is the most advantageous rate, best suited for travelers with firm travel dates. If the service is canceled due to adverse sea conditions, a refund is still guaranteed.
Is outdoor seating on the hydrofoil guaranteed?
No, outdoor seating is not always guaranteed. The hydrofoil has both outdoor and air-conditioned indoor seats, but availability depends on occupancy, and the vessel may change based on the company's operational needs. You cannot reserve a specific seat in advance, and seating is first-come, first-served. If you arrive early for boarding, you have a better chance of finding an outdoor seat available. Indoor seats are still comfortable and climate-controlled, with good visibility through large windows.
Can I bring a stroller or wheelchair on the hydrofoil?
Yes, you can bring a folding stroller without problems. For wheelchairs, the hydrofoil is accessible but with some limitations: boarding may require staff assistance, and interior spaces are not always roomy. We recommend contacting NLG before booking to confirm specific accessibility and arrange any needed support. In Amalfi and Positano, the historic centers have stairs and climbs that can be difficult with mobility aids.
Do I need to print the voucher or can I show it from my phone?
You can choose: both printed vouchers and smartphone display are valid. Present it at the Sorrento Port ticket office at least 20 minutes before the 9:30 AM departure to collect your boarding tickets. If using your smartphone, make sure the battery is charged, and the screen is easily readable. Some travelers prefer printing for safety, but it's not mandatory. The voucher is not the final ticket: you still need to stop at the ticket office before boarding.
What are the cancellation conditions for the hydrofoil tour?
